‘Get Fit for Business’ Seminar and Workshop Series Launches in the West Midlands

Syscom is pleased to announce the launch of a series of seminars and workshops designed to help companies get technologically fit for the business opportunities that forthcoming major sporting events are affording UK companies.  The first in this nationwide series of free business seminars and workshops will be held at The National Brewery Centre, Burton-on-Trent on Thursday 11th November. Commencing at 10am, the half day event will include tips from Commercial Doctor, UK specialists in capturing business from sports infrastructure projects, and insights from Microsoft on exploiting technological change for competitive advantage.

“Events such as the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games are creating a lot of business opportunities for companies of all sizes across a wide variety of sectors,” says Debbie Wesley, Marketing Manager of Syscom PLC. “We’ve already had a number of enquiries from companies realising the importance of making strategic software investments and process changes in preparation for increased business. Unfortunately, however, many organisations are missing out because they aren’t ready to effectively tender for contracts. Companies who are unable to evidence to buyers that their infrastructure, systems and processes enable efficient and reliable delivery of orders and projects usually find that they aren’t shortlisted.  As software and technical support providers to the manufacturing, distribution, apparel and textile sectors for over 35 years, we specialise in helping companies ‘get in shape’ to manage increased business and fulfil contracts. Through these seminars and workshops we will be arming decision makers of UK businesses with knowledge of how they can prevent costly IT downtime and adopt robust, integrated systems to become more competitive, profitable and efficient.”

Companies who have recently experienced success from process and system reviews will also be sharing their insights on streamlining operations and securing a return on investment. To complete a morning of information, inspiration and advice, this first ‘Get Fit for Business’ seminar and workshop will conclude with a complimentary tour of the National Brewery Centre. “Many organisations have already expressed an interest in taking advantage of this unique opportunity to hear from a range of business gurus,” says Debbie, “so we would urge companies to register their interest early as availability is limited.” To find out more call Valerie Smith – valerie.smith@syscom.plc.uk – on 01384 344 244.
