Syscom's free IT clinic attracts business at Workwear Show 2010

Following huge demand in previous years, Syscom PLC once again offered a free IT Clinic at the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show last month. Held this year at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, the exhibition is the UK’s flagship event for the work wear and corporate clothing sector, attracting key suppliers and major brands from all over Europe.

As specialist providers to the work wear, school wear and corporate clothing sectors, Syscom’s software solutions are geared specifically for the needs of these complex and competitive industries. “It is surprising how few companies offer software developed for this industry and that can truly meet its unique demands,” says Debbie Wesley, Marketing Manager of Syscom, “especially given that work wear and corporate clothing represents a market worth around £450million per year. Our specialism in this industry means that our IT Clinic is always very popular, as it was this year.”

“Our feedback has been very positive,” says Debbie, “with many visitors telling us they found the IT Clinic to be one of the highlights of the show, alongside the catwalk show, Business Managers Awards and industry conference, which we were proud to chair. We found people were particularly interested in our integrated Web-based wardrobe management and embroidery modules. Many wanted to see how SyscomERP facilitates the creation of structured wardrobes, controls the issue and availability of corporate uniforms and tracks customer designs through to completion – being able to offer a client this facility can give work wear and corporate clothing suppliers the edge when it comes down to securing future contracts.”

Syscom, whose customers include well known names within the industry such as Incorporatewear, themselves secured a contract for SyscomERP at the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show. “The company specialises in corporate clothing design and production in the UK,” says Debbie. “We will be releasing details in due course.”

Syscom will be holding a complimentary group or individual webinar on 19th and 20th May to provide those who were unable to visit Syscom’s IT Clinic an opportunity to overview SyscomERP and Web Wardrobe, Syscom’s state-of-the-art module for creating tailored customer web portals in minutes. “Each webinar will last about half an hour, giving people time get a feel of the software, discuss their business requirements with an industry expert and find out more about using software in the tendering process to win more business,” says Debbie. “All that’s needed is an internet connection and a phone.”
